2nd Cheadle Scout Group

Welcome to the website of 2nd Cheadle Scout Group. Formed in 1917, the Group is one of the largest independent Scout Groups in our District and is based at The Paddock, off Brookfield Road, Cheadle SK8 1EX. The Group consists of two Squirrel Dreys, two Beaver Scout colonies, two Cub Scout packs, a Scout troop, Discovery Explorer Scout Unit and Endeavour Network Unit. Group History

2nd Cheadle Scout Group was formed in 1917 and first met in church premises in Ashfield Road, Cheadle. In the early 1920’s an ex-army hut was acquired and erected on the land belonging to the Group Scout leader of the day, Jack Warburton in New Hey Road, Cheadle. Due to the popularity of our Scout Group, all sections currently have a waiting list and it is advised that you put your details down early to avoid disappointment. We have young people aged from birth being added to the lists! Squirrel Scout Age is 4 to 6 years old. Oak Squirrels meet on Tuesday nights between 6pm and 6.45pm.
